Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor | Therapist
Dominique Forsman is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College. Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse range of populations, including children, teens, and adults. Dominique has a particular passion for supporting young adults and teens transitioning to college, as well as graduate students navigating the unique pressures of advanced education. With firsthand experience in the demands of academic life, she deeply understands the stress, anxiety, and identity challenges that students often face. Her goal is to help them build resilience, manage anxiety, and develop the skills necessary to thrive during these critical transitions.
In her practice, Dominique takes a client-centered, collaborative approach. She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques to provide clients with practical tools and strategies that empower them to take control of their lives. Dominique believes that therapy works best when built on a foundation of trust and partnership, where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. Having personally experienced the transformative benefits of therapy, she is dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their goals, overcome obstacles, and experience personal growth.
Dominique currently resides in Maryland with her partner and their two dogs. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, reading, and discovering new culinary and cultural experiences, which help her stay grounded and bring fresh perspectives to her work.
